Privacy Policy

Rolyn is built so your financial data stays with you. We do not run accounts, we do not sell data, and we do not show ads or use third-party tracking.

Data stored on your device

Transactions, wallets, budgets, categories, workspaces and settings are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, Rolyn syncs them through your own iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit), and a shared workspace is shared only with the people you invite. Backups you create are saved where you choose, such as your iCloud Drive. This data is held by Apple on your behalf; we cannot see it.

Data that leaves your device

Voice entry. Rolyn asks for your permission before the first use. When you record an expense by voice, the recording, the currency of the account, the current date and time and up to 100 of your category names are sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which uses Google Gemini to turn it into an expense. The audio is processed to answer the request, is not stored by us and is not used to train AI models.
Brand logos. To show brand logos, Rolyn sends the name of a merchant, account, category or subscription, and a website address guessed from it, to our logo service. No amounts, dates or balances are sent. You can turn this off in Settings → Privacy → Brand logos.
Receipt scanning runs on your device.
Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether Rolyn Pro is active; it receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipts, not your financial data.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, bank credentials or advertising identifiers.

Children

Rolyn is not directed to children under 13.

Your choices

You can delete all data at any time in Settings → Data → Data management → Delete data, or by deleting the app. You can stop voice entry by not using it and turn off brand logos in Settings → Privacy. Data kept in iCloud is managed in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.
